The event was held at – Loretta Primary School Field behind St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ugwunchara Umuahia, Abia State. In line with Obowo traditiona and Igbo Culture, the festival activities began with presentation of Kolanuts and invocation by Okenze Bernglad Okonkwo who also doubled as the primary guest lecturer with the Topic- IRE NA IWA OJI IN STANDARD IGBO COMMUNITY; THE PRACTICE IN OBOWO ‘’Mba’’ irinano’’

In buttressing this tradition, Okenze Bernglad Okonkwo presented a prototype of distribution and sharing of Kolanut in Obowo in this order; from Ehume-Umuosochie- Umuariam- Odenkwume- Amanze- Umuugwa and lastly to Achara to cover the ‘’Ekwerenaote’’ group’’. Thereafter, the Kolanut moves to Alike- ,Amuzi, Okwuohia, Avutu, Umunachi, Umuokeh and Umulogho to cover the “Okwunansu Group”
The Second Guest Lecturer of the day was Rev .Fr, Dr, John Onyinye Enyinnaya with the Topic: OBOWO HOME OF CULTURE: IGBO AND ITS TRADITION: Initiation Of Young Men of Obowo Into Manhood, “Iwa Akwa”
The IWA AKWA Ceremony which is general to all the 14 Traditional Villages in Obowo, was re-lived at the event with a presentation of Iwa Akwa Ceremony by Young Men of Obowo whose Age-Grade are the would be participants in the initiation into manhood (IWA-AKWA) in the 2020/2021 Iwa Akwa Year in Obowo.
Other features of the Ceremony was the ‘Traditional wrestling contest in Obowo’ which was unshed in by the Ekwaremgba dance’’. The colorful Obowo Women dance entertained the guests as well.
Obowo culture was also present in the food and entertainment where Obowo native menu was in display in the Tradition cuisine (food) of Roasted Yam/Cocoyam, Roasted plantain and “Ngu Oka na Odudu’’prepared by the Obowo women
Many distinguished and illustrious Sons of Obowo including OKENZE RTN.EMEKE COLEMAN ANYASO; (Chairman of the occasion), SIR JASPER CHUKWUEMEKA [KSC], CHAIRMAN OBOWO L.G.A.CARETAKER COMMITTEE; HRH EZE DANIEL N. EGBEOGU [KSM] OKWU- UKWU EZENMA 11 OF OKWUTA-IBEKU, Royal Farther of the Day.
